Terms of Service - VEL AI Portal

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the VEL AI Portal, Bonafide Generation System, and related institutional dashboards (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the Services.

2. User Accounts & Security

Institutional Users: Students and Faculty must log in using their official institutional IDs. You are strictly responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
Public Users: Public access is restricted to general institutional inquiries. Attempting to bypass security to access student or staff data is strictly prohibited.
You must immediately notify the administration of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

When interacting with the VEL AI Assistant or uploading documents (e.g., Achievement Proofs), you agree NOT to:

Use abusive, offensive, defamatory, or threatening language. Note: The AI engine includes an automated 3-strike abuse filter. Violations will result in an automatic 24-hour account suspension.
Submit fraudulent, forged, or altered documents for Bonafide Certificates or Academic Achievements.
Attempt to extract Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of other students or faculty members.
Attempt to disrupt, DDoS, or inject malicious code into the system.

4. Artificial Intelligence Limitations

The VEL AI assistant utilizes generative artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy based on our institutional Knowledge Base (RAG):

The AI may occasionally generate incorrect or imprecise information.
Official decisions regarding admissions, fees, and academic records are governed strictly by the respective administrative departments, overriding any AI-generated text.

5. Institutional Actions & Approvals

Requests made through this portal (e.g., Bonafide Certificates, Event Approvals) are subject to review by authorized personnel (Class Advisors, HODs, Deans, Principal, and Admin). The institution reserves the right to reject any application that lacks merit, contains false information, or violates college policy.
